Q: For how long would I have access to a course after I enroll in it?
A: As long as the course is an active course on our site and you are enrolled in the course, you will be able to access it.

Q: What does it take to earn a course badge?
A: There are two level of completion badges for each course: Overview and Comprehensive. For the Overview badge, you only need to complete the course presentation. For the Comprehensive badge, you need to complete the course presentation and pass all quizzes for the course.

Q: How do I communicate with the author of a course?
A: On the main course page, there is a Course Contacts block that shows the course author. You can message the author directly from this block.

Q: How do I communicate with others who have enrolled in the same course as me?
A: Within the Navigation block from your Dashboard page or any course page, you will see "My courses". Each course in which you are enrolled is listed under "My courses", and has a "Participants" option available. Clicking on "Participants" will show you other students in the course. You can then click on any of the names to see the public profile information for that user, as well an option to message the user.

In addition, each course has a Forum available on the main course page. You can post questions and comments for other course participants in the Forum, as well as reply to posts from other participants.

Also, each course has a Chat feature available on the main course page. You can chat live with other users who are currently online.

Quizzes

Q: Can I take a quiz again if I don't pass it during the first attempt?
A: Yes. You can take each quiz up to three times.

Registration

Q: What's the difference between registering and enrolling?
A: You first need to register on the site to be able to take any courses. There is no charge for registration.

If you wish to take a specific course, you would enroll in that course. You would pay for that course at the time of enrollment.

Reports

Q: How does the filter for reports work?
A: When you first run a report, no filter is applied, even though the default filter conditions are displayed. If you select any filter conditions and click 'Apply', then all listed conditions - including any Start Date/End Date conditions - are applied. So if you don't want to filter by date but do want to apply another available filter, make sure that the date range is wide enough to include all of your records. Any date range filters also have time components, so keep this in mind when using them.

If you want to remove any applied filters for a given report, you don't have to re-run the report. Simply click the 'Cancel' button below the filter at the top of the report. The report will refresh with no filters applied.

SME Certification

Q: How do I look up what courses I have to take to earn an SME badge?
A: From your Dashboard page, run the 'All SME Tracks' report in the Configurable Reports block. This report shows what SME tracks are available, and what courses are needed for each.

Q: What does it take to earn an SME badge?
A: You must successfully complete each course that comprises the specific SME track in order to earn the badge for that SME track. A course is successfully completed after you have completed the course presentation and have passed all quizzes for the course.

SuperSmart Program

Q: After I refer a friend to a course, what does she have to do during enrolling for me to earn my referral points?
A: Your friend just needs to send us an email at info@myfdaacademy.com that contains your name and the course to which you referred your friend. Then we can update your SuperSmart referral points accordingly.

Q: What do I have to do to try out some courses without paying?
A: At any time, we have a couple of sample course excerpts that you can view without purchasing any courses. These are available here. Note that you do need to be a registered user to enroll in these sample courses.
